Date: Tuesday, May 23. What is the one thing you care about more than anything else in the world? With the influx of gadgets, technology, cable TV, video games and processed foods, it is tough to keep our kids on the straight and narrow health wise. In fact... In 1980, approximately 6.5 percent of kids age 6 to 11 and 5.0 percent of kids from 12 to 19 were obese. In 2008, the percentages jumped to 19.6 percent and 18.1 percent. Pretty sobering statistic. That is a trend that we have to be careful not to continue. We need to attack this issue with education and action. It is up to you and your family to provide the action.
